The Williston Basin, over the next year, will continue to be a focus of Zavanna, LLC's U.S. activities. New grassroots vertical and horizontal wells are being planned in various areas throughout the Basin.   Denver, Colorado - May 1, 2002 Zavanna Canadian Corp. and its partners initiated a shallow oil and gas exploration program in Southeast Alberta, Canada, targeting Bow Island, Basal Colorado, Glauconite and Arcs/Nisku formations ranging in depth from 2,500' to 4,000'. Four exploratory wells were drilled with pipe set on three wells. Zavanna Canada's activity ranges from the Pembina area in W5 to the Suffield Base and the Medicine Hat area in W4 to the Red River Play in Saskatchewan in W2. Development drilling and the initiation of facilities are planned for 2002, with additional exploratory wells in Zavanna Canada's current inventory base.
