The ExplorationStation

Zavanna's ExplorationStation stands apart from commercial workstations. It is the process by which we look at data and our ability to transform data into new information that makes the ExplorationStation unique. Our Expert Users have the ability to explore by looking at data in new ways and follow new paths. The objectives are the same: oil and gas reserves. However, the process and the paths we take are different.

Many people wonder what makes Zavanna's ExplorationStation different from commercial workstations. Some believe a commercial workstation can do the same analysis and there are no differences. They are wrong. Commercial workstations are good for data storage, map making and map displays. However, they lack the artificial intelligence to transform the data and evaluate and analyze the data in entirely new ways. Zavanna's ExplorationStation is designed to help answer the question, "Which map to make?" Many times the map is one that has never been created before!

A summary of the major differences between commercial workstations and Zavanna's ExplorationStation, written by one of its Expert Users, Steve Swanson.

Zavanna does not sell its ExplorationStation to industry. We have made the decision to utilize our "Technology" in strategic alliances with strong joint venture partners that complement Zavanna's strengths with their own strengths in exploration and production. We believe these combined strengths will make for a unique and successful joint venture validated by the drill bit.

"Hallo!" said Piglet, "what are you doing?"...

"Tracking something," said Winnie-the-Pooh very mysteriously.

"Tracking what?" said Piglet, coming closer.

"That's just what I ask myself. I ask myself, what?"

"What do you think you'll answer?"

"I shall have to wait until I catch up with it," said Winnie-the-Pooh.
