Zavanna,
LLC, is a petroleum exploration company founded to utilize unique
oil and gas exploration technology.
The major oil companies are shifting their resources to foreign
basins based on the premise that there are no large oil and gas
fields left in the U.S. and Canada. The premise is wrong.
Although the United States and Canada are mature petroleum
producing areas, Zavanna expects that its access to proprietary
technology (ExplorationStation)
will demonstrate clearly that, in certain basins
and in certain formations, a significant number of undrilled,
large oil and gas fields remain.
The Background
Zavanna,
LLC was founded in August of 1994 to exploit its unique proprietary
computer-based Technology for oil and gas exploration,
development and acquisition in the United States. In 2001, Zavanna
Canada Corp. was formed to explore for the significant remaining
oil and gas reserves in the western sedimentary basin of Canada.
The Technology has been incorporated into our ExplorationStation, developed as the result of a 16-year multidisciplinary
effort. The power of the Technology is in its unique ability
to integrate several types of databases and to apply statistical
analysis in a very compressed time frame. This allows our expert
users to perform unbiased and exhaustive quantitative analysis
of geological, geophysical, engineering and production data that
is compiled for large geographically defined areas of up to 30,000
wells, or areas defined by a trend, play or concept.
The Strategy
Zavanna is
pursuing a strategy of forming strategic alliances, joint ventures
or joint exploration agreements with industry partners that are
designed to complement the Technology. Currently, Zavanna
is guiding horizontal and conventional drilling in portions of
East Texas, West Texas, the Anadarko Basin of Oklahoma, Florida,
the Williston Basin of North Dakota, and Alberta and Saskatchewan,
Canada.
The Technology is unique in its ability to integrate
several types of databases and to apply statistical analysis
in a very compressed time frame. It gives Zavanna and its joint
venture partners the capability to conduct new exploration in
existing producing areas, unmatched by any oil and gas company,
large or small.
